Competition Rules (Piano Solo Category)

-Program contains at least 2 or more pieces from Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century. etc.

-Duration can be exceeded by 3 minutes maximum

Category A

8 and under

(Program duration - maximum 10 minutes)

Category B

12 and under

(Program duration - maximum 15 minutes)

Category C

15 and under

(Program duration - maximum 25 minutes)

Category D

18 and under

(Program duration - maximum 30 minutes)

Category E

19 years old and up

(Program duration - no time limit)

Competition Rules (Online Participation)

-Participants may choose to participate online, without performing live in Łódź Poland. Evaluations will be the same, and participants are eligible to receive prizes.

-Pianists of all nationalities aged 8 and under, 12 and under, 15 and under, 18 and under, 19 and up may participate.

-There will be two rounds based on video recordings.

-Participants may not make any attempt to be in contact with any of the jury during the competition, and vice-versa. Jury members will not evaluate their own students.

-Participants will be evaluated on a point based system from 80 to 100 points. The final results given by the jury are not subject to change.

-Video applications for the first round must have been recorded by the participant, within the past 12 months. Videos should be recorded in one camera angle, without any editing or changes. Participants’ entire silhouette and hands should be clearly visible. Recordings with orchestra will not be accepted.

-Videos must be recorded specifically for the Elevato Competition. Recordings made for other competitions or performances, or performances with orchestra will not be accepted.

-The name of the pieces should be written in the video's title

-Program change after application is not allowed.

-The solo repertoire must be played by memory. The order of pieces can be chosen by the performer.

First Round

-The Jury will evaluate participants through video recordings. The first round applications are due on June 8th 2022. The results will be announced by June 18th 2022.

Final Round

-Final round videos are due on July 10th 2022.

-Participants must play all different repertoire from the first round.
